I ordered two Empanada Pollos—honestly, the BEST empanadas I’ve had in the city. Crispy, flavorful, and just perfect. For the main dish, I had the Filete a la Criolla: a fish fillet topped with shrimp in a rich creole sauce, served with rice, crispy sweet plantains, and salad. The fish was super moist, the shrimp juicy, and the sauce was amazing. For dessert, I had the peanut butter mousse. Layers of chocolate and peanut butter heaven! It was so moist and delicious, I’m still thinking about it. Amazing food, impeccable service—I'll definitely be back!

The food here is outstanding! And the restaurant is so cute, I love the tropical decor. We got drinks and dessert, plus we over-ordered on food, so we ended up spending about 50 per person, but it was a truly amazing, memorable meal. We got a parrillada for 2 (which came with beans, rice, and a gorgeous salad, and could have easily served 3. We also got a pechuga empanizada, which also came with rice, beans, and salad. Both dishes were amazing, though the a la parrillada was particularly memorable. Highly recommend!

I had a really nice experience at La Pollera Colombiana the other night. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the menu is huge with plenty of options, and the restaurant itself is really cute and well decorated, creating a trendy but homey atmosphere. The bathrooms were very clean too. We happened to be there when they were playing live music which was really fun! I got the salmon in passionfruit sauce which was incredible and flavorful. My partner got chicken and said it was perfectly cooked. We each got huge portions and left feeling full and satisfied. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant :)

Had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday here today. Really nice surprise. K so the exterior is a little bit unassuming and you might be forgiven if you think you took a wrong turn and are now at a laundry mat...( Thats just next door) but overcome your confusion as one of the better places to eat in Madison atm. Food was fresh and well seasoned. Fun tropical cocktail options and really pleasant and attentive staff. Prices range from affordable and filling to a bit higher market but totally fair. Um i guess its a good sign when something as basic (and usually typically forgettable in the midwest) as rice here is super good. Party of four had a good selection of the menu and everyone was satisfied. Great desserts. Fresh Churros here are on par with a religious experience...as they well should be. Will go again. Soon!

This restaurant is a hidden gem! My lunch group tried this restaurant because they were participating in restaurant week. I chose the ceviche for my appetizer, the pork chop (which came with rice, beans, and the perfect plantains), and tres’ leche for dessert. I loved every bite! I’m already planning on bringing other friends and my spouse back. The waiter mentioned that they have events with live music, which also sounds fun.

My family and I dined at La Pollera during Restaurant Week yesterday and were thoroughly impressed! Every dish we ordered was incredibly flavorful, and the portion sizes were surprisingly generous. We received exceptional service from our server, and our food arrived promptly. We can't wait to return soon!
